Energy...what we dont think about...

9 cents = average price of a kilowatt of electricity

48% = energy use out of society total consumed by buildings for lighting, heating, air conditioning, hot water and operations.


Total U.S. energy consumption amounts to about $1.2 trillion per year, and buildings consume about $600 billion of this. The excess is in the form of imported oil. North America has the greatest energy resources on earth, so why are we importing oil at all?
